I made a batch of soap last week that doesn't have enough lye in it. The container holding my lye water had the hard crust of lye left over after I poured it. Not sure what was happening, I didn't try to melt the lye and go ahead and add it to my soap mixture. The soap hardened mostly and went through gel phase. It doesn't look great and is on the softer side. I was thinking of rebatching using the confetti rebatch method. My question is: at which point in soaping do you add the confetti/rebatched soap? Before stick blending? After? In between? Will it melt down and mix with the new batch?

ETA: no coloring in the soft soap, just a little FO.

Thank you both! It's my first time having to rebatch. Didn't want all those butters going to waste!
