First off, I know lye soap isn't shampoo and can ruin hair. Its ruined mine but thats not important right now.
I have a skin condition on my scalp that I can't get controlled, lye soap helps, it's why I used it in the past and why I will be using it for awhile now.

I'm trying to decide which recipe to use. One is a old recipe, currently using it but its almost gone. I would have to order supplies to make more.

The other recipe is new, made it a couple weeks ago for the dogs actually. Waiting for cure before I try it.

Curious for feedback just based on the numbers and what you all think about the fatty acid profiles.
I do need a more cleansing soap, scalp has to be kept very clean.

Your first recipe is lower in oleic fatty acid and higher in palmitic and myristic fatty acids. IMO it will last longer.
