I decided to expand my hobby of just soaps and lotions to candles, this past year. I read that Vybar is not suitable for soy candles. Then, I read just last night...that coconut oil can be used for soy candles...to help the scent throw and also speed up the curing process. So, that was great news! I'll save money (Vybar is sold locally but it's expensive) and I always have it on hand for cooking and soap making.

BUT...I cannot find directions on when to add it to your wax, anywhere online. I know that it is suggested to add your fragrance oil 1st thing, before any additives are added. But would coconut oil be considered an additive? Or should I add it right after I put in the wax...to be well mixed before I add FO, then dye, etc.?
