Hello, i'm new on this forum and in soapmaking.
Can someone please explain the difference in coconut oils on soapcalc. I see there is 76 deg and 92 deg. Is that temperature or something else and what difference does it make in soap?

Thanks a lot

It is the temperature at which the oil becomes liquid. I don't believe there are any different properties lended to the finished soap.

Right, it's just the melting temperature and makes no appreciable difference in soap (the 92 is hydrogenated, I believe). If I'm pulling from buckets, I like to use 76 in cooler weather and 92 in hot weTher because I find handling chunks over liquid a bit easier. For drums, of course, liquid is easier.
