Hi! I'm still very new to the world of soaping and totally addicted! I have alot to learn so please bare with me...I want to try some recipes i found using coconut milk but i've seen some mention of a risk of overheating because of the sugars in the milk. If i want my soap to gel, should i insulate my molds? I'm using the CP method btw.
Thanks in advance

Depends on a few things. Are you using thick wood molds? is there a wood top on the mold? My molds do not need to be insulated.

I made soap with coconut milk and did not insulate. I used a silicone loaf container. I had to put that soap under the fan and near the a/c. I made a oatmeal, milk, honey one last night with coconut milk and had to put it in the fridge because it was trying to crack. I used the same loaf container...HTH a little at least!
