I was planning to make a quick, small batch of soap this morning with coconut milk as my liquid. Ihave done this before, so I got out the frozen cubes, added lye, preheat the oven, prep the oils, blah blah blah. Suddenly, I was called away from the project. I made sure everything was safe and dashed out the door. When I got back, I found that the coconut milk/lye mixture had solidified! It is really quite a hard block! I'm not really super surprised, since I'd left it so long. It just struck me funny when I opened my container and found that brick in the bottom.

I suppose nothing can be done with it at this point, right? It's basically a *really* lye-heavy soap on it's own, I would think.

Can you break it up and stick blend it into the oils or is it too hard? You could try heat to soften it up first.
