I've bought a few citrus EO blends -- Lemon Verbena (lemon, orange, grapefruit) and Valencia (lime, tangerine, orange, thyme).

Since citrus EOs wither in CP, how much do you guys recommend I use ppo for a nice solid scent?

I know soap makers use orris root to anchor the citrus scents . I made a lime salt bar about 4 months ago , the scent is holding pretty good.I used 5 tsps lime eo to 64oz oils. I did not use orris root in it.

I do not use orris root but make sure I have castor oil in my recipe. You can also add a bit of litsea to help hold them. Also if you are doing CP & bring your soaps to gel, make sure that you cover your mold until cool.

I use patchouli or cedarwood or rosewood to anchor my citrus scents. I also do some without any anchor, but add castor oil to the batch (at 3%).....seems to hold ok. But after a 4 week cure, I keep my soap bars in lidded plastic boxes.

I usually use 1oz citrus eo's per pound of oils. Expensive but worth it.
