Cute! I'm surprised the deer aren't nibbling the snowman's nose!
Past the half way mark.
Just over 23 weeks to go.
@Relle What are those?!?
And when do we start making soap for the holidays Actually, I’ve already started on salt bars. Everyone I know is getting one this year.
Tasmanian Devils from Australia. they are in danger from a disease that is wiping them out.
You can start making your Christmas soaps whenever you like, just don't leave it to the last minute. That's why the countdown, please yourself.
I was not aware of the disease problem, but just found this recent news piece from the BBC that offers some hopeful news: https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-47659640
Planning is definitely important with soap. It’s also time to think about Fall for those of us in the northern hemisphere!
There is also wildlife groups breeding them from the wild population.
I've been away and I am about to start my soap for christmas. I've already done my salt bars as I cure them for 9 months minimum. Thanks for the reminder, though, Relle.
Start planning for Christmas soaps:
Close to 17 weeks until Christmas. An Aussie Christmas.
now that's a Christmas I could love!!!!
With our summer nearly here this doesn’t quit depict the heat we endure in Qld over Xmas
its usually really cold here--I would be able to handle the heat
Meanwhile my bucket list includes a white Xmas....One day
Ok, now we're at 14 weeks and 4 days. Love this little guy.
That gives approx. 2 wks to make soap (end of sept), a good 8 wk cure (Oct/Nov) and December to start wrapping and package for presents.
Love him too. Such a good little model.
Hubby asked me today if I would make soap and candles for the folks in his office this year (I made candles only for them last year). 3 men and 6 women. Two different bars and one candle each. I'm so excited!! A reason to make soap other than "Because it's fun!"
What might make it even more fun... track your time & expenses and hand him an invoice when you're finished!
HO, HO, HO, just over 10 weeks to go. If you haven't already. you'd better get moving and make that soap for that present.
