It's about the same, the chia are really oval in shape instead of being perfectly round. If looking for exfoliation, I'd use the same amount as if using poppy seeds. They do retain hardness through the curing process.BusyHands, how do chia seeds compare to poppy seeds in the soap? Have you made soap with poppy seeds before? Lovely soaps, by the way.

Needs at least 6 weeks cure. At 4 weeks it's nice & hard to touch, but if you were to cut it it's still a little soft in the center. Other than that no problems. I figured at 2-3 lbs of soap 1/2 lemon. I added the juice to the oils.Won't the lemon juice effect the soap cure?
