Post #20. Carrot Soap with Chia Seeds. Trying something other than poppy seeds. Also used Almond milk for this one.

BusyHands, how do chia seeds compare to poppy seeds in the soap? Have you made soap with poppy seeds before? Lovely soaps, by the way.
It's about the same, the chia are really oval in shape instead of being perfectly round. If looking for exfoliation, I'd use the same amount as if using poppy seeds. They do retain hardness through the curing process.
 
Won't the lemon juice effect the soap cure?
Needs at least 6 weeks cure. At 4 weeks it's nice & hard to touch, but if you were to cut it it's still a little soft in the center. Other than that no problems. I figured at 2-3 lbs of soap 1/2 lemon. I added the juice to the oils.
