Can Sodium Hydroxide Go Bad?

Hello,
I was just wondering if Sodium Hydroxide can go bad by being stored in a garage in Florida for a year. Thank you everyone!

I have had sodium hydroxide that was bad. I think it came that way from the supplier, though.

If it is clumpy, it is bad. If it is still in either the flakes or granules that it was supposed to be in, I might take a chance on it.

That's great! This is perfect timing as I had a batch not get hard and I was wondering if it was my lye or human error. Thank for posting this! I'm going to order the chemical for testing.
