Can I use juice instead of water with my lye?

I like using juice! although yes it usually turns some shade of brown. puree is what gets me into trouble... grumble. usually wants to separate and I end up hp'ing it. oh well!

Without seeming like a complete wackjob, does the tomato juice interfere with the scent of the added FO?

I can much easily source tomato juice over carrot, so I'm extra interested now!

Dotty: pureed carrots (baby food) will also work and the texture is fine enough that it won't cause contamination problems in your finished soap.

i like tomato soap too, i puree fresh tomatos and usually add some rose clay to offset the really orang-ey color.
