Below is a list of ingredients I have for soap using Calendula flowers.
My question is this, Can I substitute the rice oil for Olive oil when I make my Calendula oil?

Rice Bran Oil 26.5 oz
Coconut Oil (76 Degrees) = 10.6 oz
Palm Oil, RBD = 7.95 oz
Almond Oil, Sweet = 5.3 oz
Castor Oil = 2.65 oz
Distilled Water = 20 oz
lye = 7.15 oz

I don't see why you couldn't, but I haven't tried it. I'm too impatient to wait to infuse oil.

However, I have made batches using calendula tea. I just made a very strong tea using distilled water. I've done this in a regular bar and in my pine tar bar. Although I strain my tea, I did get tiny speckles which I think adds to the overall look of the bar. I did freeze my tea before adding lye to it since I didn't want chance scorching it.

Safety tip: do not microwave distilled water as it can super heat and explode.

yes, as far as i know, one can infuse calendula in whatever oil one like, olive is certainly one.
