Buckling

My last few one pound batches of soap have been buckling up on top, in the center and they've looked a little sweaty. Am I over insulating? I am using a wooden mold with a top and I wrap it in a towel until it gels to the edges. Then I unwrap it and leave it sit with the top still on until it's ready to cut. Is this too much for a wooden mold?

Yes it sounds like it is over-heating.

Most wooden molds don't need any wrapping to get the gel started.
