I made an ambitious new batch of cp. I was using up all of my stored bacon drippings to make a lard and coconut oil "breakfast soap" and I added coffee, coffee grounds, heavy cream, maple syrup, egg yolk. It has swirls with td, cocoa, and brown oxide and was scented with coffee house fo from rustic essentuals. I had big hopes for this baby. However, I think I should've gotten the lye water cooler because it likely over heated. I got some scary looking separation and wanted to know if anyone has any ideas for how I might salvage this batch and avoid this in the future. The oil pool moves around like pure melty coconut oil. I've attached two shots of it 36 hours old and one of it fresh.
Thanks in advance!

Soaping as cool as possible and avoiding gel would help. Adding sugars will increase the possibility of overheating. You could dump it in a crockpot or pan and try to bring it back together. May have scorched though too. I had that happen once.

How much of each have you added? That seems like a lot of spoilables in a batch unless it was very small amounts? I'm voting for overheating too, looks like a few of my batches that did that.

Ambitious for sure! But it's all part of the learning process. I can't add to the advice given by the gals in front. Too bad you'll lose that pretty swirl, but I hope you can salvage the rest.
