I'm wanting to make a Lemon scented (EO) Almond bar for my next rebatch.
I read somewhere (read too many books) that citrus EO's do not hold their scent very well. Considering that my rebatch will only be small (about 140g - 1/4 of a pound I guess) should I add more EO or bite the proverbial bullet and get some benzoin?

In what other instances should I use benzoin?
 
The only information I can find on Litsea is that it belongs to the Laurel family. There are some 200 - 400 genus of this plant over the world.

Is Litsea also known as 'May Chang'?

How much do I use? (bearing in mind that I don't want to overpower the lemon scent?)
 
Ok, thanks. My supplier advertises it as 'May Chang' rather than it's latin name. I'll be getting some.
