I was graced with this page through a thread of MzMolly.
Black Soap aka Moroccan Black Soap / Beldi / Savon Noir Olive Oil Soap
This is where it all begins for me. Just like MzMolly I needed black soap but not in small batches I need it in large amounts. Reason is I'm a cobber, =http://www.theyearofmud.com/2008/05/14/cobbers-thumbs/ I'd like to think that I am one, after building 2 tiny mud houses xD So now I have 3 buildings up & plastered with lime. 2 of which is made out of mud and 1 was built using cement because it was mandatory.

I've done a lot of research with regard to lime plastering. A workshop I attended ended the project with lime plaster and that was it.

While searching more facts about lime I stumbled on Tadelakt & was mesmerized by it. A saying goes:
Tadelakt can be:
Rewarding*yet*Frustrating
Uncomplicated*but*Challenging
Hard as stone*yet*Soft as silk

Pasted from <http://howtotadelakt.blogspot.com/>

Now my lime seems to be dusting off, I asked my instructor if she knew what tadelackt is, she had no clue.

And this is where "Moroccan Black Soap / Beldi / Savon Noir Olive Oil Soap" comes in. It is the final polish, the cherry on top, the secret ingredient (which is gradually being shared to the public, thanks to platforms like SMF, bloggers, youYube & other social medias)

Since I'm new to soap making. I decided to make a log to share what I learned about this valued soap of Morocco. But for now I will just organize my thoughts and get some rest I've been up all night since yesterday & it's almost lunch of the next day. Geez this soap thing is so addicting, Till then.
