Beginner Hot Soap - Help!

Hi there!

I’m new to the Hot Process method and I’ve done something wrong!

I mixed my lye - 375ml water to 124ml lye
I set my oils - 167ml extra virgin 167ml coconut oil and 167ml veggie oil

From what I can tell, I can’t achieve trace and the mixture is splitting. Can I save it?

Hello and Welcome,
Did you run your recipe through a soap calculator? You should be measuring in grams not ml.
Are you using a stick blender? What kind of veggie oil are you using? Liquid or solid.

That's not a very good recipe, won't have much in the way of lather. But it will clean.

Someone I have hot process act up and separate too, it usually comes together if you keep stick blending.
What kind of lye are you using?

Sometimes I get separation in between the earlier stages... I just whisk it all back together. That's after me stick blending to medium trace..
