I posted yesterday about my failed batch. I used potassium hydroxide by mistake. Now I have a bowl of soap paste made from a bar soap recipe. What can I do with it besides tossing it in the garbage?

You can make emulsified scrub with it. Combine it with liquid soap and stearic acid to make cream soap. Try whipping it with a portable mixer. It might whip up to be nice and fluffy.

You can still use it as soap, either diluted for liquid soap or just as a paste soap.

However, since you used the amount of lye needed based off of NaOH recipe, you'd need to add more lye if you want to make it into a liquid soap. Might be a good idea and rebatch if you want to use it as a paste, anyways.

It's funny... I was going to ask if you were using KOH instead. I probably should have...
