Soaphenge grows:) . Got a batch of lard based soap in the mold tonight.

Tonight's lard based batch took much longer to trace, went with straight peppermint essential oil for fragrance, hoping this much will result in a tingle when used. Dr Bronners peppermint soap introduced me to that sensation and I quite like it.

Here are the recipes.

1st batch:
Water 318g
Lye 125g
Olive oil 608g
Coconut oil 172g
Palm oil 127g
Lavender essential oil 17g
Tea Tree essential oil 6g
Peppermint essential oil 6g
Turned out of the mold and cut it 24hrs later, passed zap test and showered with it that night. Rest left to cure.

2nd batch:
Water 318g
Lye 134g
Coconut oil 363g
Olive oil 363g
palm oil 182g
Lavender essential oil 28g
Turned out of mold and cut 24hrs later curing.

3rd batch:
Water 318g
Lye 127g
Lard 454g
Olive oil 227g
Coconut oil 181g
Castor oil 45g
Peppermint essential oil 28g

Three batches in three days, my wife is helping and enjoying the process and results. She still thinks I am a bit crazy.
