I found this book from c1939 in our library. My grandmother probably used these recipes to make her soap. I note that one recipe has kerosene in it? Thought it would be fun to share with you all.

Nice to see all the old books and that they haven't been discarded. Our library has a book sale annually and sells off books that haven't been borrowed in a while ( better than them going to the tip).

I have been making mechanic soap for years with kerosene and pumice in it. My husband and his friends really like it.
