What ingredient differentiates regular soap from artist's (e.g. The Master's Artist soap/ Pink soap )?? I am an artist living and working in Brooklyn NY and I have been trying to discover the ingredients that turn regular, homemade soap into an oil, grease, stain, dye removing miracle bar! I currently make my own paint, my own canvases, and my own brushes; all that's left is artis't soap and I can save myself endless trips to the art supply store. I have searched endlessly to absolutely no avail. If anyone can shed any light on the subject or has any experience creating artist's soap your help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

They don't list the ingredients on the links you gave. I imagine you have some with you? Do they list the ingredients at all on the package?

If you are looking for the recipe for making a stain stick type of soap make a coconut oil soap. Use up to 100% coconut oil for a stain stick. For laundry soap I use half coconut oil and half lard. I'm not sure this is what you are talking about.

Unless you can list the ingredients on your artist soap, its a bit hard to answer your question. I searched to try and find a list and nothing comes up. We might be able to help if you have a look at the label.

That looks like a MP base with extra oils and scrubbies from the loofah.

In a word, turpentine. There are recipes out there for CP soap stain remover sticks made with turpentine, and you can find the odor-free kind and use that if you prefer. I am sorry, I can't find the recipe for you right now, but do some googling. I think that is what you are looking for.
