Has anyone used the plastic molds you get at the craft store for cp? Can they be used for salt bars? If so how long do you keep them in the mold before taking them out? Any help would be appreciated.

I've used them. They work fine for CP soap....just don't gel in them because they distort with hot soap. I ruined a couple of them that way.

Never tried them for salt bars....

I've made Salt Soap in the plastic molds before, it worked great actually! I also used a silicone muffin pan (mold) at the same time, and it worked great too, except for a little discoloration from the red silicone. If I remember correctly, I did pop them in the freezer a bit before unmolding them (the plastic ones-no need to do that for the silicone ones). HTH! :D
