Anyone from Ireland?

My mom is visiting Ireland next year and I'm having her pick me up some candy. I'm really interested in unusual flavored hard candies.

Any suggestions? So far I have rhubarb & custard and something black currant.

I love anise but for mom to make room in her baggage, I need flavors I can't find here.

Are there any floral flavors that are good? I have rose down on my list, would love to find other florals or maybe a mix.

They sound interesting, have you ate them before? Seems some people think they taste like soap or perfume.

I might just have mom go to a sweet shop and ask for suggestions.

That's exactly what they taste like...soapy perfume!! And yet strangely irresistible once you get going. Haven't had them since I was a child...which was a long time ago Most sweet shops will have a great range of 'boilings' (hard sweets) for your mum to choose from, she will be spoiled for choice
