I took three pics of this cherry tree this A.M. Would love to know what kind of cherry tree it is...The berries are small, sour, red, but not chokecherry. Pin cherry? There are several trees here and multiplying. Birds love 'em.

If anyone can ID this type of cherry tree, I'd be ever so grateful. Or steer me to a tree ident. site?

Di, I would look at a Montmorency cherry. My second guess would be an Early Richmond. Both are hardy in cooler climates and produce a tart cherry. Make great pies!
