I've been working on making a shampoo bar and based on the threads here and info on the web, here's what I've come up with so far. Any advice is greatly appreciated. There are a couple of ingredients I want to avoid if possible. Capb and emulsifying wax.

Thanks for whatever advice/suggestions anyone can provide. :)

Finally got it revised enough to try.

Here is what I ended up making with pics, and then the revised.

Soap was a little soft. Was kinda play-doughish. Which kinda worked out, was easy to mold by hand. Lathers and foams well, but not sure it will get hard enough. Still a little soft this morning.

Revised version using foaming silk instead of a glucoside. Also increased cetyl alcohol and dropped the oatmeal a little.
My goal is to make a shampoo bar that foams, but doesn't strip the natural oils. To that end, trying to keep the detergent amount as low as possible and still get lather. Any idea's on how I might be able to accomplish lather without adding detergents that strip the oils?

Just tested the ph on the original recipe and it comes to 6.18.
Guessing the foaming silk may help to lower that a bit on the revised version.

Would increasing the Stearic make it a little harder maybe?
