I have a recipe for salt scrub that I like, but I notice that when I put it into jars, the oils sink to the bottom.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is that supposed to happen??

what kind of emulsifier are you using?

Next time you go to a store, look at the scrubs, many seperate.

You have to add *something* to your recipe if you do not want seperation.

scrubs...

Yes, I noticed that some in the stores...like my favorite from macy's do separate....but then I found another at Trader Joe's that does not.

Help me out, guys, please...what are my best emulsifier choices? I am using grapeseed and almond oil in my sea salt scrubs. I found the perfect salt grade....now I'm stumped on this.

Beeswax? Cetyl Alcohol NF? I can't figure out what I should use......

Lots of people use ewax. Here's a description from brambleberry.com:

Emulsifying Wax NF- Use this waxy material to emulsify your water and oils together. Usage varies based on the combination of thickeners but normal usage rates are between 3 and 6% of the total weight of your recipe.
