Anhydrous ingredients to enhance lip balm active absorption?

Hi there,

I missed you guys and am so happy I'm back on the forum! I was an active forum member for a few years up until about 2016, and now I finally decided to re-join you guys after consistently being put off by not being able to remember my screen name/login (or even what email I used... frustrating).

Anyway, enough about me!

I'm wondering if there are any oil-soluble absorption/transdermal enhancers that would help active ingredients penetrate into the lips. I know squalane can be a good vehicle for some active ingredients but am wondering if there are other options, and how effective they are? I've scoured the internet and am coming up short. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

They always talk about isopropyl myristate in lotions but I don't know if that would work in this case.
