Has anyone used this ingredient in soap or creams? Since it is a wax form, I just wondered if anyone had used it in place of liquid castor oil. I am thinking of trying it.

I have not used hydrogenated castor oil. That is what anhydrous castor oil is, hydrogenated. I believe it is made to be used to be used in cosmetic applications, and is more expensive than the liquid. So definitely useable in creams. Maybe too expensive for use in soap, but if you have a lot of it and want to try it out, by all means.

Would it increase the hardness? Or is it a totally different thing than like say hydrogenated soy?
