Rose petal and activated charcoal soap with 73% organic sweet almond oil. This soap turned out really nice in terms of lather and skin feel. I wanted to try some high AO soaps after reading some online posts regarding 100% almond oil soaps that turned out well. I also wanted to see if the rose powder would impart any scent once the soap was wet the way it does when I use it in facial masks, but no. No scent in this bad boy.

It's interesting to me how the pinkish red rose powder actually turned the soap brown.

I also wonder if the powdered petals actually help with the lather in some way in this soap.

Those look nice! I may have to give 100% almond oil a try at some point.

Most botanicals do turn brown in soap, rose petals included. I think calendula and cornflower are the two exceptions, if I remember correctly.
