I just Received an order from SC. It was a couple gallon bottles of HO Sunflower Oil. The one is fine. Seal on top is intact, looks fine. The second one had oil stains inside the box. Not terrible but I opened the cap to check the seal and the seal is compromised and leaking a bit and inside the lid is all brown looking and has a really weird smokey smell. Would I be wise to call and ask for a replacement or is the oil most likely ok even if the seal wasn’t sealed properly? The smell of that brown residue in the cap is the most concern to me. I haven’t taken the seal all the way off yet as I thought I’d ask here first if anyone has any experience with this issue. Thanks!

I have to say, @shunt2011 was correct! Soapers Choice has outstanding customer service! Mike called me basically minutes after I emailed him and he determined the problem was that the heat sealer that seals the bottles was applied a bit too long and must have burned the metal seal compromising it. He immediately told me he would be sending a new bottle just to be safe. I am definitely impressed with how promptly he responded and how he handled it. Highly recommended.
