Usually FD&C Blue gives me a royal purple color. I've never used it with HP before. FO is Sweetcakes Mulberry and the note on the bottle says "seizes".

Here's a picture when it was first sliced. I made this at the end of November.

I like using FD&C aka blue food coloring for purple, if for no other reason than to watch the color change, plus the fact it is cheap. Being so ph reliant to change to purple I have not tried it in hp. On my screen the bottom pic looks blue, is it blue or purple now?

Interesting Dixie. It looks a lot like what's going on with Seawolfe's indigo. Blue is always fickle with me too and I never know what I'm going to get in the end. I wonder if the lye monster reacts differently with blue than other colors?

But blue or green or something between, it's lovely soap!
