Adding quince in soap

A couple of days ago I bought some fresh quince and would really like to use it in CP soap. Has anyone done this? They smell so good but doubt the scent would hold. I would like to use the pretty yellow skin also. Any thoughts, ideas or tips? Thank you!

The scent won't come through and its likely any yellow from them will turn brownish. Best way to use them would be to cook until very soft, blend into a smooth puree and strain to remove any bigger pieces. I would use around 1 oz PPO as water replacement.

isn't quince a citrus? If so would be concerned the citric acid will react with part of your lye.

Thank you so much for the tips! I will cook them first and use. Maybe add some Bergamot EO.
