I have made several soaps that contain activated charcoal. Although their lather is white (or rather whitish), they stain a facecloth grey. I am sure I have read a while ago about somebody who had made a completely black soap with white lather. How is it possible to achieve this?

Is it a question of temperature or recipe? or is there something else that will give a black colour to soaps without discolouring facecloths?

I would like to know too how it's possible. My experience is that even a little AC still shows up. I think I might just be more bothered by it than some. Which in itself bothers me because I really love the look of bars with black in them. :(
