Acrylic planer?

I'm thinking of buying a planer/beveler, though probably not for a while longer. Of course, I have looked at the wooden one that it seems like everyone has, and it looks like a great product. But I'm wondering if anyone has used an acrylic planer. The one advantage I can think of is that it would be easy to wash.

Does anybody have any likes or dislikes for wooden or acrylic?

I have the beveler from For Craft's Sake, it's a heavy HDPE type and works great. I don't plane my soaps so can't help there.

I have the acrylic soap beveler/planer from Soap Making Resource. I've had it for years and love it. You're correct in that it is easy to clean and
keeps it's sharp edge. I think it was about $39
