My first cp...done wrong.

I added steric acid and salt...I know, I know.

The batter immediately went wrong, so I unmolded and faked rebatch and glopped in the mold.

I unmolded (to soon)
Soap still soft in the middle, but the ph was on 8, and no zap (beautiful lather).

So I shredded and re-rebatched following instructions I did the hot process hero from bramble berry and now I wait...

Hang in there and don't give up! I had to laugh because when I recently posted here with an anacronym involving the letter between E and G, it got changed to "kitten love", LOL, it's my new catchphrase!

Follow up:
Unmolded and cut after 48hrs-ish in the mold.

The flake spots are gone, but the air pockets are plenty lol

Which is self caused. I just wonder if it will ever harden up, it's still pretty soft. But I will wait and see. I actually like the look .

Stearic acid is a pain to work with, but it is the best guarantee to eventually get the bars hard and firm. Just let it do its thing (water evaporation), and give it a few weeks. FWIW, rebatched soap is even slower in curing than is CP and HP soap.
Thank you, I always overthink it smh

I agree that some rebatch tends to take longer to harden depending on how much water was in the original soap and/or how much more you added. I will say though, that all of my rebatched soap do eventually become super hard bars.

Congratulations on your first CP! You ended up with soap, so yey! Haha
