I have managed to create a paste-type of shave soap, similar to some of the more traditional classic "gourmet" soaps out on the market today, such as RazorRock Classic XXX, Proraso Cream (In a tube), Ariana & Evans, etc.

It has the following in it:
Stearic Acid, Beef Tallow, Lanolin Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Hydroxide, Distilled Water, Shea Butter, Tussah Silk, Glycerin, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil.
Ingredients are jumbled up in order of concentration. It does contain 50% stearic acid FYI.

The formula is still a work in progress, but I believe I am 98% there.

After about a two minute brush load up and stirring in my granite shave bowl:

This first batch is a blend of Eucalyptus and Mint essential oils.

Tis very good stuff Prof. I particularly enjoy not having to load so much and getting going with the lather. There aren't many artisan made very soft shave soaps or pastes that I'm aware of out there (haven't tried RazoRock's yet). Most are in tubes, which I'm not a huge fan of but others seem to like the convenience. Do you have plans for a tube at all?

A pic of the gorgeous lather:
