Made my 2nd hanger swirl attempt last night.

Had massive cooking problems but have no idea why. Took two full hours to cook ... in a crockpot on high the whole time. Batter temp never went below 200. The only thing I can think of is that there was a problem with the lye. Ran out of one bottle and had to use a back-up for the remaining. Ended up being about half and half.
Finally, at midnight just when I was about to give in and just mold it as is, it finally finished.

There are supposed to be two colors, but the green didn't work very well so hard to see.
Green = French Green Clay and Parsley
Pink/Red - Moroccan Red Clay with Madder Root
2 tsp of each ingredient
1 tsp sugar in each color cup (someone found that it works to make mica a little brighter, thought I would try with clay/plants)
1 tbsp hot water
These were combined about 7 hrs before finally using at midnight. :)

Very nice! And in HP too :)

Thanks! I used your high temp on the crock pot method last night expecting it to finish very quickly ... but it ended up being even longer than normal. :( Not sure if it was the lye or what but was 2 hours of cooking before it was finally zap free.
