    E-Commerce Hosting Sites?

I just switched to Weebly ($29 per month) I was using BlueHost but the Ecom way too basic and a pain adding carts to. I like this much better. Waiting to see what customers think when I relaunch

    Views from soapers

My first dip was MP, which I didn't really like because I didn't feel like I was really "making" the soap and couldn't control the ingredients. I then went to CP and overall love the results. However, I have tried HP when I've had a catastrophe and I love the speed of it just not an overall fan...

    Love my crinkle cutter BUT...

Thanks all. This was a bar with no water discount. Update , I did a quick dunk in hot water and it did a good job of cleaning it up. Smoothed out the ripples a bit though. This was a new recipe I was working on and I think I'm going to make some adjustments there as well. Thanks for all the help

    Raw shea butter smell

When I got my first batch of unrefined shea butter I wasn't too in love with the scent but I didn't mind it. As I started ordering from different sources I found that different sources tend to smell differently. Could be the age I'm not sure. I finally found a unrefined beige colored one with a...

Having the hardest time with ash

Ditto, I have found the same issue with the acrylic slab molds and the condensation. When I spray the alcohol it's almost like it doesn't evaporate and leaves condensation bubbles on top of my soap. I'm thinking some kind of absorbent barrier between cover and mold to prevent condensation but...

Essential Oils for cleaning, or room freshening

I usually put just a couple of drops of essential oil on my vacuum cleaner filter (the part that gets changed out every couple of months). It lasts forever. But beware..make sure you like the scent you use because you will regret it if you don't...don't ask how I know :). Is there a good...

Do you ever mix FO with EO's in your soap?

I've mixed as well with no problem, but I prefer to use a clay to add sticking power vs. the fragrance oil since we try to go the "all natural" route.

Aloe vera powder in oil infusions

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread as well. I would love to know how to use the aloe powder. I'm currently using the Aloe juice in my soaps and it's a real pain keeping it refrigerated.

    Let's talk Coffee!!!

I have made coffee soap once and I did like the others and used strongly brewed coffee and grounds in the white portion. I was trying to avoid fragrance and hoping the coffee scent would come through...no luck..so now it's a "scent free".

    Making lavender oil in bulk

What about making bath teas with the buds. You could mix it with other botanicals or sea salt for a great relaxing soothing bath. I do a chamomile and lavender tea.

Castile for the New Year anyone?

I'm in. I want to try with the castor oil too, the patience it is going to take to wait for the cure. Grant me the strength :)
