Dutchies, where do you buy your soap supplies?

Hey, I'm from the Netherlands, and I'm desperately looking for a good soapmakers supplies site in the Netherlands. Ordering from other countries is a bit too expensive for me.. (brambleberry adds 46 euro to shipping) Every site I saw from Holland where they have soap making supplies feels...

Titanium Dioxide sinks to bottom of soap

Thanks ;) It feels a bit better on my skin than without the milk and extra oil. I think this melt & pour base isn't superfat :/

Titanium Dioxide sinks to bottom of soap

Ok, my flu-mistake showed up... (also adding the oil-titanium dioxide.. I facepalmed :P) But it looks pretty anyway... a nice color too...

What's your favorite type of scent?

I have one soap (not made by me) that has a lychee scent.. I love it, it's my favorite that I can buy from a soap store... So I'm still kinda trying to find the right lychee scent... I can't buy any in our country so I need to order it online (So if anyone knows a good one, let me know :P) The...

Titanium Dioxide sinks to bottom of soap

Could be, but I rather not use rubbing alcohol IN my base... cause it doesn't evaporate, and alcohol isn't too good for the skin. I just tried it again with the titanium dioxide.. I hope it worked, but silly me (flu-me) made some mistakes... so I just have to wait :) I tried a few stuff...

Titanium Dioxide sinks to bottom of soap

It dissolves in water, I tried. Oil still looked crumbly, and water made a smooth blend. Glad I have this figured out :P

    colouring too intense

Yea, but I think the coloring I have is waterbased. It doesn't feel weird on my skin, not oily or slippery...

    colouring too intense

Well, that's the problem, they do have dye that is concentrated, but my colouring isn't supposed to be concentrated if I read it on the site... but, it is. Here is the soap I made today: Not baby pink, but quite hot pink, sorry for the crappy quality. The color I'd like to have is:

    colouring too intense

Hey, I try to make small batches of 3 icecube forms at a time... (I do this for testing) but I found out that the liquid coloring I use for it, is very very concentrated. It says max. 1% of coloring for 100ml soap, but if I would do that, the soap turns black, that's how concentrated it is...

    Recipe Help Please

I put it in a lye calculator, but I have a feeling the recipe isn't quite right.. I tried the Lye calculator: http://www.brambleberry.com/Pages/Lye-Calculator.aspx --"information deleted per request from author of blog"-- I never made soap from scratch before, but they have told me to run...

    Orange Juice in NaOH Solution

I'd freeze it, I see in a lot of youtube movies that if you use anything else than water to dissolve the lye that it will burn, and if you freeze it first, it wont. So just in case, freeze before use :)

    CP and HP?

I'm more of a youtube watcher :D but I watch a ton of movies every night! Tends to stick more than reading for me... thanks to my dyslexia... I love soaping 101... I watched this one movie of the soap queen I think, of how to make MP soap... turns out it was how to cut the MP soap into...

    CP and HP?

I plan to make translucent soap with Loofah's in the soap. That's also the soap I buy at the soapstore which is in my eyes, way too pricey, at least for soap I think. I can make it myself, and then it wont be free either, but it will be cheaper. I also plan on giving soaps away to friends for...

    CP and HP?

Thanks guys... I think there's just a lot of information that's not easy to find on internet, but I think I get it now... I did see the superfat option in lye-calculators... just wondered what it really meant. I really wanna know what I'm doing and what everything is. Maybe more than other...

    CP and HP?

So superfatting means you add 5-10% extra oil and the same lye you would use for not superfatting? I guess that's why the soap base I bought feels so wrong on my skin... cause it's not superfattened. Can I do anything about that by the way? Adding some extra oil? It will probably take longer...

    CP and HP?

Oke, so if I "gell" my soap, it's just fastening the curing process basically? Like HP. Then I don't really feel like gelling it. I'm fine with waiting.. I kinda like the process with the least work :silent: kinda lazy I guess  I do like to be able to make a translucent MP base for...

    CP and HP?

I did want to try CP first, I already ordered some safety goggles online and a temperature gun... figured my baking thermometer wouldn't like the lye  What's this gel you're talking about? Haven't seen that in youtube movies before.
