What colour is Laurel oil supposed to be?

So is the sap value on soap calc accurate? I am going to be getting soon of this oil soon.

Did you use the exact same recipe?

Here is my black seed oil soap

I did. I used it at 10% as was suggested. I made it a couple of weeks ago and it is curing. It feels a bit spongy. I made it with palm, coconut, olive and castor oils. I also added some bentonite clay and lemongrass and tea tree eo. I can't attached a picture for some reason the attachments...

Has anyone used Black seed oil? How much did use and do I have to worry about DOS?

The essential oil is easy to find. The actual oil from the berries is not.

The recipe was 5% castor, 30% coconut, 30% palm, 35% olive. Must still have baby brain Its the first batch I've made since baby has been born. Thanks for the quick response.

I just made some goats milk soap with 50/50 water/goats milk. Superfat 5%, 38% water. It reached a thin trace. I forgot to add the castor oil. Will it be lye heavy?

Would you care to share the supplier and the cost? TIA

Also should I wrap it up and allow it to gel or put it in the freezer. Its been cold in Melbourne I could even leave it out overnight.

Thanks I'm doing cold process unscented. Also is it better to use half milk-half water or would I be ok using 100% milk.

I've been curious about this soap since I first heard of it. I'm sure you would be able to make it yourself but technically it wouldn't be Aleppo soap because it not made there.

I still haven't work it out. I was wondering if I could add a bit at trace so that it doesn't go through saponification. Would that matter? Is the term for that superfat?

I made a bastille soap and I use it on her bum. Its better than using baby wipes which are full of chemicals. That's what motivated me to make soap in the first I didn't want to use products full of chemicals I can't pronounce on her.
