Hi...made some goats milk and honey soap yesterday, straight in the freezer, then fridge over night. Cut it today, to find this soft substance in the middle through the length off the loaf. What is it? Gel? The soap otherwise is fine... Will it harden, do I scoop it out?

Hi. I made some soap with 55% animal fats, lard and tallow. Was stone hard in freezer within 2 hours. Tried to cut with knife and crumbled. Gave it overnight, tried next day and still crumbles at the edges. Why is that? Too much hard oils? Thanks.

Hi. I'm planning to use this high fat yoghurt as part of my water, about 180g of it added to cooled oils (700g). So , do I need to alter anything? the SF is 5%. Just wondering...

As it says. Annoyed with dark colour as went in freezer over night. Maybe just a touch too much honey, don't know. Paprika and cinnamon for colour... Pencil line, well, just about got away with it as it is bit thick in places.

No colorant used except alkanet at the bottom. Used a double concentrate tomato purée for all water content; certainly did not expect the bright orange to stick.

Avocado puree soap, with green clay and alkanet root.
