is there any info regarding next beofre dates when labelling soap? I suppose it depends on the amount of oils prone to going rancid.

ive found some black seed oil (cumin seed) that I’m excited to incorporate into a recipe. Has anyone got any info about it’s qualities and use on soap and what oils it’s good with? I’m superfatting at 5% with it,

I need to use oils that are freely available where I live, So narrowed it down to a combo of rapeseed, coconut, sunflower and olive. It’s a bit limiting I know. I don’t want to use lard or palm either.

help! I’ve played with this a few times but can’t seem to get the creaminess value over 13. I don’t want to use anything other than the 3 oils listed.

Thanks, it’s been a few years since I’ve made soap so I’m a bit rusty. Using hard coconut oil. Should I reduce the amount of the coconut and replace it with sUnflower? Does the fragrance or EO look ok to you?

I use grapefruit seed oil to speed up trace.

I had to do a rebatch for the same reason, and used a silicone mini muffin mold, the resulting mini soaps came out nice despite being all lumpy and bumpy as was already advised, an i put them in a large egg container and they look pretty cool for a rebatch..

The sea kelp still smells sea kelpish despite the geranium but you would not believe the star anise smell..oh m g, its sooo aniseedy..my fave flavour. almost edible.
