I've only salted out soap and added more lye to take out the excess oils to use for laundry soap. It was a yucky pepto bismulth color soap when finished. But it worked just fine for laundry.

Currently cooking soap paste for my newest batch of liquid soap. Trying the brine method.

Not to be afraid of lye! I mean yes, it's dangerous and you need to protect yourself, but it's really no more dangerous than say driving somewhere....you know? I was so scared the first time! Next I would say using silicone instead of lining molds...that's a huge pain.

I just canceled my order, I got a better price at Soapers Choice on beeswax and castor than I did on the sale...the WSP rep said that they were supposed to get all the orders out by Saturday.

I haven't gotten a response yet...my BA order came fast, but I was shorted in my Shea butter and essential oil. Called them yesterday and I have notification already that it is coming!

Give it some more water and time. I have cooked down old scraps all day before. I try to mist my scraps the night before so they have a little tacky feeling to them prior to heating.

I rebatch my scraps to send to Clean the World...and I have a pot going right now. I will take a pic and post after I unmold. It gets pretty hideous.
