You can certainly get a "non-browning" vanilla fragrance oil. I don't know off the top of my head who has them, but I know they aren't hard to find. I'm pretty sure I got mine from FNWL. I've put vanilla beans in soap before. What I do, is cut open the pods and then scrape out all the paste...

Yes. I, too, use Optiphen. It's SOO important to me to not use paraben in my products.

Yes, I always save just about all of my packaging materials from suppliers! I always wrap my soaps in bubble wrap, and package them in bubble wrapped envelopes with peanuts or boxes with peanuts :)

In an attempt to make whipped soap, I combined 12 ounces of m&p soap with 4 ounces of whipped body lotion (my own recipe). I let it cool/harden and then whipped it through the mixer, added fragrance/color and it is now sitting in mold. Has anyone tried this? Mixing lotion and MP soap base...
