    First Lard Batch

I love lard, it makes creamy and wonderful soap. But my biggest problem is, my customers get turned away if I mention lard. So for my "for sale" soap I use Shea butter, but my own bars i use lard!

    Embedding M&P Into CP

Sorry guys, it took a while for me to respond, been super busy with Christmas season coming. From my experience, and I live in Florida, I haven't had that much sweating in my M&P. I use SFIC bases. Soapsense, I mix my liquid M&P into CP, kinda like layered swirls. Just make sure M&P...

LOOOOOVE!!!! By the way, for the pink soap, did you pour M&P layers in between, or you used embeds?

    Embedding M&P Into CP

I love this so much, I think I'm going to start implementing these into my product line! Now I can have great, lathering soaps with excellent scent! I am really not a big fan of M&P, because of the lack of lather, and the fact that they don't feel the same on my skin. But a lot of my customers...

Anyone go from CP to M&P? Or do both?

I sell both CP and M&P and am having fun with both. I've realized some people actually prefer "glycerin" soap and that's why my company carries both. And now I'm experimenting with combining M&P and CP together! :) http://www.soapmakingforum.com/showthread.php?p=365565#post365565

    Embedding M&P Into CP

Hi guys! A couple of weeks ago I've read a post on SMF by TVivian about Soaptopia soaps http://www.soapmakingforum.com/showthread.php?t=38184&highlight=soaptopia I found the concept of embedding M&P into CP so interesting that I have decided to experiment myself. Used my regular soap recipe...

Can amber FO jars be re-used?

I soak mine for a day in soap water, and after I wash them, I like to let them dry in open air. This way there's no scent left.

    Disappearing Scent in CP

I don't think she'll want to speak with me ever again lol Yes, I agree! I wasn't bashing her soap, I was just trying to understand!

    Disappearing Scent in CP

Update: Today I called the person in question. It was awkward lol. I started off by saying how much I loved the scent of the soap, and how I like the feel of it. Then I went into asking about the reason why it didn't hold scent (i explained to her that I fell in love with the aroma and thought...

Does anyone know of a good peach fragrance oil?

I would recommend CandleScience Peach Nectar :)

    Disappearing Scent in CP

I agree 100% Paillo! It might help her sell the soap one time, but I highly doubt she'll have returning customers. I will call her tomorrow and politely inquire about this issue. She is a nice lady, I'll try to make it as easy as possible lol :)

    Disappearing Scent in CP

That's what I was thinking as well! I make my soaps with 2.5-3% EO, and they will smell A LOT on the inside and outside. And why not put that EO to use instead of soaking cotton balls in it? I'm just genuinely disappointed.

    Disappearing Scent in CP

Just finished reading it. So, she might be using scented cotton balls to scent the soaps...

    Disappearing Scent in CP

Guys, I've had an interesting experience today: I've done a craft show this weekend and there were other soapers. So, this lady's booth smells amazing, she only uses essential oils and does very complex blends. You could smell her soaps from a mile away. I got a bar of soap from her, with a...
