Can anyone suggest a 'scent' for hotel soaps? Bearing in mind that these are unisex. Im looking for an economical soap recipe..any suggestions? Ive never done soaps for hotels before so this is new to me thats why i am asking for advice...i usually make for health shops giving it the rustic...

I have a lot of lanolin that i want to use up..can anyone share a shaving soap recipe with me/..or are there other recipes that i can use the lanolin for soaps, balsm, etc Blessings Debbie

I was told today that scents , essentials oils etc do not stay long in 'oil'...thats why some soaps lose their scent quicker than others.I was told that scent stays well in solids (like bath crystals' or gels....can anyone give me good advice and ideas on how to keep my soaps scented longer ...

Must vegetables be cooked before adding to the soap?? How would one =add these to soap..must they get blended up? wont they go 'off' and 'mouldy'..been wanting to try this for ages now... x Any recipes with these in would be greatly appreciated... x

Hi there...I have a recipe that gives me grams and im trying to figure out how to turn it into %. I know how to turn a % recipe into grams /ounces etc but not the other way around..please excuse the stupidity!!! HELP.

Thanks for your replies..will wait a few days and not hold my breath any more...I may have slipped up with the canola oil measurements by around 50g...

I made soapyesterday (crock pot method) with a new recipe ;- 113.3g coconut oil 1474.17g canola oil 850.4g lard 750ml water 347g lye I cut it into bars after 15 hours and it is still quite 'sticky' where the wax paper has been but the top part exposed to air over the 15 hours is much...

Havent tried that one...will try it soon..... cant wait to have time to read your blog ;-) x

Im always needing immediate results (lol) I dont have the patience for CP. Maybe I will get into it...I did one batch of CP soap and learned about patience... How long have you been soaping for? do you sellyour soaps? do you have a website? x

Can someone tell me...If i use shea butter and healing herbs etc in crock pot method of soap making does the heat destroy all the goodness? say the shea butter was great for stretch marks etc would it loose that benefit ? what about the healing power of tea tree etc???
