Hello every bubbly how are you doing? I've been busy making soap and have been using my formulas exactly the same as always, turning out nice bars of soap. I use EO only and the odd pigment and botanical etc. I have noticed that even though I do the exact same measurements, formulas etc batch...

I used ordinary Orange EO in my first ever batch with a little bit of orris root and lavender, it's still there! Very gentle fragrance at 3% and people love it. Sometimes, people want gentle soaps. I'm going to try May Chang for the first time, maybe tonight, with some orange and maybe lime...

Thanks LooLee :D I will try that and also do my old fashioned calculations too. That's how I originally did it but I have a good base I use other than alkaline disaster above there.

This has to be the worst soap I have made ever... I'm going to have to grate it up for laundry soap. For some reason it is lye heavy after using the same oil water and lye content as a previous batch that came out wonderfully nourishing with EOs. The difference? I used Fragrance Oils this time...

Thats' great Judymoody... did you find it quite a gentle fragrance? I did 3% Ylang & Orange in equal parts. I may up the next batch to 5%

Does anyone know of a natural banana oil and if so, does it hold through CP soap? Even if I can put it in a lip balm that would be great! Thanks in advance. :mrgreen:

Ylang Ylang is similar to Jasmine. Try adding a few drops of citrus oils with it.

What a beautiful colour! Was it the ultramarine violet only that made the lovely blue/violet?

This is stunning! There is something very gentle and very romantic about the design, that little modest wave inside and the rose buds look so shy sitting in the corner like blushing maids! I think the French clay is a lovely romantic ingredient too. It's so feminine!
