A rambling review of Brambleberry "masculine scents" sampler

Ditto about Spiced Mahogany. It really is a wonderful scent. I got some mild acceleration, but nothing unmanageable.

    Nurture's Satsuma completely fades?

I bought Mango - Tangerine or is it Tangerine -Mango from Nature's Garden Candles on a whim a while back. It smells like sooooo good, just like a sweet satsuma. Boy oh boy is it strong and sticks forever! I used 5%. Just thought you'd like to know [emoji6].

    Overheating Oatmeal and Honey?

Could be the temps. The first time I made a beer and honey soap, I was only at 80 degrees. No overheating. Just watch out for false trace. Working at lower temps with a lot of solid fats can be tricky.

    Overheating Oatmeal and Honey?

What temp did you soap at? I always soap as cool as possible to prevent overheating when I add honey. You have a high amount of solid fats in your recipe. It can be tempting to soap at a higher temperature so that they stay clear and liquid, but that can mean trouble when you add honey or...

    Beard oil recommendations?

I am on the same bandwagon as those who have recommended argan and jojoba oils. Both light weight, but incredibly conditioning. Both are a bit expensive, but worth it and a little goes a long way. I made my brother a beard oil a long time ago with argan, jojoba and fractionated coconut...

Recipe for a *really* hard bar?

For a waxy looking bar, I swear by mango seed butter. A little pricey, but a little goes a long way. One of my favorite bars had 9% mango butter, 14% palm oil, and 24% coconut oil for my har oils. Had an almost translucent, waxy texture.

Russian leather or English leather dupes anywhere?

Looking for a good Russian leather or English leather type fragrance. Trying to find a good fragrance for my dad, but he's very picky [emoji53]. I've tried Deadly Weapon, Animalistic, The Perfect Man, and Aqua di Gio, (all from NGC), and so far he hasn't liked any of them. He keeps asking for...

    Hello from New York!

Hi !My best suggest for a beginner is to grab a notebook, use evernote or whatever you fancy and jot down whatever inspires you. I've been inspired countless times whenever I've gone to the grocery store, farmer's market, at the hardware store, at the beach, etc. Welcome to the addiction!

    ISO Sandalwood FO

Bought a 1 oz. tester size Indian Sandalwood fragrance oil from NGC . Smells softer, sort of powdery scent, not as woody as other sandalwoods. Definitely reminds me of the base of many incense sticks I've come across. Haven't tried it out yet, but I'm eager to try it out and seems like it...

    Soap supplies online

I get most of my fragrance oils from Nature's garden candles and Bramble Berry. I just got my first mica order from Nurture Soap Supply and I am very pleased with the colors! Their color selection is awesome! I also like Whole Sale Supplies Plus too, but was disappointed with some of the...
