So I'm never happy with the way I cut my Milky Way slab molds and I was discussing it with rancher husband. He is no woodworker but he's very good at making things out of what's laying around. So what can you make from a hacksaw, a guitar string, and some tongue and groove boards? A soap cutter

I got these "Milky Way" molds sometime ago. But I was nervous about using them, afraid the soap wouldn't come out. But I'm happy to report they popped right out. I did put the big slab one in the freezer but the others I just put in the fridge.

So I bought some new molds called Milky Way not knowing what they were made of . I guess I was thinking silicone but they are not. So I'm wondering if anyone has them, has used them, how did they work, did you oil them, did the soap come out, or anything else you might want to share about...

For those of you who remember Snow Drift Farms, they had an EO called Vanilla Bean. I Loved it and bought a lot before they went away. But now it's gone and I'm not finding anything to replace it with. Maybe I'm just missing it? What do you use for vanilla?:confused:

How do you clean your silicone molds? Does anyone put them in the dishwasher? And if you do, do you wash them with other dishes or not?

Only it's not really ash it's actually big white bubbles! On the wooden log mold and the silicone molds the soap grew and then fell like a big cake. And while it looks like acne it's really just little bubbles. I used Tienne recipe but ... I never did cpop before so maybe that had sometime...
